Data protection law & data protection requirements
Personal data is handled in decentralised (specialist) departments. The organisational and legal requirements of data protection must be implemented responsibly in these departments. Data protection coordinators with links to the relevant departments have proven to be important interfaces with data protection specialists in the data protection organisation, data protection management and/or the data protection officer.
In this role, you will provide solution-oriented support to your colleagues in the (specialist) departments in identifying and classifying data protection-related processes. This ensures compliance by enabling standard questions relating to the handling of personal data to be dealt with independently by the specialist departments or by coordinating targeted support from the company's data protection specialists. In addition, practical experience shows that specialist departments need support in dealing with organisational data protection tasks such as documentation, data breaches or enquiries from data subjects. The role of data protection coordinator therefore re-quires an understanding of the principles of data protection law and organisational data protection requirements.
