GDD, Gesellschaft für Datenschutz und Datensicherheit e.V.
The Society for Data Protection and Data Security (GDD) is a non-profit association that promotes sensible, reasonable, and technically feasible data protection. The GDD sees itself as an organization that represents the interests of data processing entities—especially small and medium-sized businesses—their data protection officers, and the citizens affected. One of its main focuses is promoting self-monitoring and self-regulation among companies. The GDD represents political interests for feasible data protection and data security requirements.
Erfa-Groups
The GDD has formed regional experience exchange groups (Erfa-Groups) in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland to carry out its tasks. Here, data protection officers and data protection managers discuss current data protection and data security issues together.
